Just as important as having a clear strategy and direction for revenue management is how the goals are communicated and managed throughout the organisation.

Best practice would incorporate the needs of all hotel departments and consider feedback from line employees to executive level managers. This helps to maintain balance with existing revenue sources and drive incremental revenue.

The organisations strategy needs to be clear, actionable and measurable as what gets measured gets actioned & improved.

ARMA recommends making all employees “RM Champions” and supply training for all employees. Not only does this get them in the right frame of mind to drive revenue but who knows the next RM superstar you may uncover once they have been exposed to the concepts.
