Today the cost of acquisition is higher as technology drives a consumer booking preference shift. However, there are also many revenue thieves lurking underneath and if we are not working on all elements of the the RM process we are leaving money on the table every day! Two examples of these revenue thieves are low yield spill (when we protected for too many higher rated bookings and missed the booking window of the earlier price sensitive booking markets) and high yield spill (when we sold out too early and missed the higher rates that wanted to come in later).
